One part panic, One part excitement.
I've always tried to think of myself as being an adaptable kinda girl. One who goes with the winds of change. I might not always like it, but I try to be resiliant.
Well, I'm not quite feeling that way lately.
The future looks bright but I want to wear shades cuz I'm weepy about leaving family again.
Yep, there is that list of things to do before we leave that are on my mind. And the fact that being a woa-man and lovely times that come and go with that aren't always timely or kind on the hormones.
Anxiety.
Ugg.
Note to self:
You don't have to pack, the moving company will do it for you. Your kids seem fine about moving. God is in control. He WILL sell your house. Satan might be trying to trap ya over and over again, but he can't. Your Hubster is an incredible husband and father, you can trust him. Faster is better in the end for the timing of all this. You will see your family again. God is trustworthy. The sun is shining. That zit on your chin will go away. You have an appointment to get that cavity fixed. God is good. He has moved mountains for this to happen. You got to paint today and will get to again tomorrow. The cat you have to leave behind with your brother will be okay. That was the right decision btw. God is gracious. Baseball season is almost over. You are doggone lucky to have a family that loves you so much they don't want you to move. You will be in driving distance to all those people you miss in OKC. God loves you even when you freak out a little. And before you know it, you will be all settled into a new place and ready to plant those roots again!
P.S. Quit playing sappy music on this blog. It only makes you tear up more!
Please feel free to add to my list!
Pretty please?!

God makes all things beautiful! Even your chin.
I totally hate the good-byes. But it is all part of life. Time to laugh a time to cry. So go ahead and cry.
Oh, the anxiety! I know the anxiety.
I'll just share my favorite verse:
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Declare it!
And drive to OKC as soon as you can so I can meet you there:)
i totally relate, we have lived in 6 different cities and 9 houses in our almost 20 years of marriage. it's hard to leave a place when you have your roots dug deep. i'm here for you if you have a hard time, anxiety was always right there waiting for me during those times, but looking back i know it all worked for the good and God does have a plan! but you know that. your boys will love the 'new' of it all. keep us posted, i think it's a bit exciting!
hmmm, how about you can get a big, blonde perm when you move to Texas? Sorry to stereotype Texans, but I bet they think all we Canadians live in igloos and eat moose jerky, so we're even.
Girl, I HATE change so I can relate to how you feel! go ahead and vent, cry, scream, whatever. But remember, you have a God who is in control and He is bigger than all of it! He will sustain you and get you through all of it. Along with a little help and prayer from your friends. Lifting you up today!
Ughhhh, I can't imagine! I have never moved out of state and it would kill me to leave my family!
God is in control and faithful!!
"God's done it every time before now, no need to start believing He's any different this time around."
I lived in Texas (Houston, mostly) before I went to Salvation Army Officer's Training. I loved it there! People are friendly, weather's warm (but there is air conditioning) and they have deep fried pickles. Who's gonna argue with deep fried pickles?
you wouldn't be human if you didn't have a little anxiety right now. But when those times come, just look "back" at what God did you get you to this point and that will bring you peace knowing he is totally in control!!
You also need to find a new Little League. ;)
Your sister loved it when you guys used to say y'all (did you realized you quit doing that?). Your family LOVES to travel and WILL budget in those plane tickets and road trips. You never really wore birkenstocks all that much anyway. You can get the prettiest pair of cowboy/girl boots ever. AND I LOVE you with big, blonde hair!
You're adorable! Zit and all. You make us laugh, you make us think, you leave us inspired.
Just adding to the list :)
You get a Texas sized house!!!
I'm actually jealous. You get to make lists and check them a gazillion times and say "gee it's not on the list (fill in the blank)"
Moving company! YES! I've never used one before, it's alwyas been me and my OCD packing/labeling/sorting
Then again I've never left the state.
Oh wait yes I did, I lived in Boston for an "extended summer". But I UPSed my stuff.
I know it's tough now, keeping things in line and keeping those thoughts in check...You'll be alright. You are a tough cookie with a chewy center and lots and lots of chocolately sweetness and just enough peaNUT butter. You'll be alright I just know it. :)
Hang in there, Linda! And, just to note - I would be totally overwhelmed - you are doing great!
Deep breaths, you're gonna be just fine ;o)
♥ Tiff
You make me smile! I love your honesty and wit and your example of being a godly wife and mother. God will use you in a mighty way in Texas and He will be with you every step of the way!
You're moving??? That's the great thing about blogging....you aren't moving from me:)!!!
BTW I tried to get on here over the weekend and went into a panic attack cause I thought you went private and didn't tell me! It would not let me on.
I feel much more at ease now! I can once again sleep knowing you did not leave me!!;)
