While hanging out with my dad, I saw relatives I haven't seen in over 20 years:
I call this photo "sisters time two"! My aunt's are between my sis and I. Do they look like twins or what? One of them drove all the way from Ohio in 2 days to see my dad. My dad is the youngest of 7 and these are 2 of his 4 sisters.
The last night I was there, my brother, sister and I had a memorable visit sitting with my dad and listening to him tell us stories we've never, ever heard before. His life has not been the easiest and I am so proud of what he has overcome and who he is today. I am beyond blessed by the dad I have.
So leaving my dad that last night was probably one of the hardest things I have ever done. What should I say and how do I say it when it is a very strong possibility I might not have that chance again? I know in my heart I will remember his hug and his words and his face. No matter what comes in the weeks and months ahead, I have that!
Thank you for praying for us!

My Uncle (who raised me) died suddenly so I did not have a chance to say good-bye. I was so glad we had such a good relationship while he was alive.
(Read my blog at the beginning for my story.)
