A little off

I'm not sure what to do with myself today, seeing it's Monday...4 days before Christmas and I really don't have much to do! -yeah, that'd be braggin' a little right there- I do know that last week was crazy and I am determined that this week will NOT be. So, I'll leave my PJs on a little while longer and eat another caramel for breakfast. Otherwise, here are the meaningless thoughts floating around in my brain this morning:

This sunshine NEVER gets old!

Our big plan on Sunday was to hand out our gift bags full of caramels for our Children's Ministry workers. We try to do it each year and it is a fun tradition. NOT so fun when the batch (or 2 or 3) does not turn out and the caramels are too mooshy to give away. Therefore plan B is to give out "Happy New Year" bags and somehow find a way to "dispose" of the ruined batches so we-DON'T-continue-to-eat-them!! Thankfully 2 of my Holiday pet-sitting jobs require doggie walks each day, so I feel a little more justified in my overeating!

To use a spoon or just lick the pan...that is the question!

I've "told" this dog for 2 weeks now that he's getting a hair cut. He doesn't look worried now does he?! (Cuz he knows I'll forget again.)

Is is sacrilegious to throw away a member of the manger scene? No matter how many times we superglue the poor fella, somehow each year he loses his head!

He "can't do his homework" because he's left handed, hmm but PS2 is still possible?

When we were in the ER last week, we noticed some glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling of our room. D-Man was quick to point out that there was a word spelled with them too:

Yep, life with boys...we thought it said "Butt". Upon leaving and seeing the rest of the word which was not in sight because we shared the room with another patient (and their curtain)...it really said "Butterfly". Shame on us.

I've talked about the uneven amount of boys vs. girls on our street, but when it comes to compassion...girls ROCK! We had a knock on our door w/ 3 beautiful neighbor girls standing there with a homemade card and plate full of goodies for "the patient". AJ was thoughtful enough to persuade his papa to stop and pick up a few things too!

And lastly, I usually do a Thanksgiving letter instead of Christmas cards and failed at both this year, so this was what I could come up with from our not-so-successful family photos!

HAPPY MONDAY!

You guys are all Awesome!
Although I do believe your hubby was my boss for two Christmases and I never saw any caramels :-)

It must have been confusing for the patient on the other side too: "ERFLY???"

Your card is great- you are so good at things like that. You can wrap up your failed caramels and give them to me anytime! Actually, I probably don't need them...

Our dog is in about the same state as yours:) I don't know how your dog is, but ours HATES to go to the groomer! So he is just fine being shaggy for a few more weeks!

And you have the BEST Christmas card!
