To all you mommies who have male testosterone in your family (and I don't mean your husband), or if you are blessed like me to have two of these treasures.....are we lucky or what?!

The holidays in this house are far from "normal", whatever that is. I suppose being a girl, I dream of the holidays with Doris Day & Bing Crosby in the background, beautiful decorations, delectable goodies and presents neatly wrapped.

Here is a small glimpse into what it is like around here! Our gingerbread house is not complete, but can you spot a clock, an angel and a table. Or how about the gingerbread man above drinking hot cocoa, (I don't wanna ask what is coming out his mouth)! I will spare you of the picture taken of another Mr. Gingerbread, who had an unfortunate accident with a sharp candy cane! (See, gross!)

Now before you think I'm raising two wild hooligans, remember this....
A Boy is...
Trust with dirt on its face,
Trust with dirt on its face,
Beauty with a cut on its finger,
Wisdom with bubble gum in its hair,
and the hope of the future with
A frog in its pocket.

So when these 2 handsome boys make me hide my laughter at their gross "creativity", I also think about their precious tenderness. They both got a card off the Angel Tree at our church yesterday. The recipients are 2 boys that are their same ages. My cutie patooties will use their allowance to buy them a present. On these boys' wish list are things like a puzzle, hand held video game and clothes. I watched as my boy soaked in the moment of what this act of generosity meant. AJ is eager to buy everything on the list. Then D-Man looked up from his card and said "And I have a Lego set that cost over $100 on my wish list".

Yep, I think they get it!

Precious!!!
Kids probably get it more than us 'mature' people who 'borned' them.
looks a lot like my house!!! even though I had a girl...she kept up with the boys..even instigated things at times!!!

Your post reminds me of my life as a mother. We had two boys and then we had a precious little girl.
I thought of pink, dainty, precious girly things. My daughter was a real tomboy. She didn't do well with ribbons etc. She loved all sports, fishing and anything her brothers did. She grew up into a beautiful Mom who has 2 boys and loves every minute of it. She sounds so much like you, it's scary. Love it!!
I love it! Gotta love them boys and the fun things they come up with!
Ya just gotta love those boys! There is just nothing like 'em!
Re: LOL, don't worry. I love your stories and pics. I wish y'all lived even closer, because that would be AWESOME!!!
Cute! Reminds me of my 2 little grandsons...
Sounds like they do 'get it'...so precious!
haha! we'll i'm glad to know that something is coming out of that poor gingerbread's mouth instead of his nose {which is what i thought at first}
Your boys are so fun!
I think I need one.
Not one of yours...my own. ;)
