A Positive Place

I had lunch with a sweet friend today that I will miss so DOGGONE much. Don'tcha hate that when you find a sister that just becomes a kindred buddy and then you have to say goodbye to them. Ugg.

Now that time is counting down I'm starting to notice things I will miss. Not just people, but sweet spots like driving into our cul de sac, our school, the bike paths everywhere and things like this...

I've been meaning to share this on here and time's running out, so I had my camera with me yesterday and finally snapped it.

Where I live there are these homemade signs all around town. I have no idea who makes them, but they sure make me smile. They are tied to street posts here and there and they always have some sort of positive message on them. You know, feel good stuff. Here's one that is near my house that I drive by a lot. It reminds me of something very important:

Sometimes as a mom I have to read that a little different....Forgive yourself!

It has been nice living in such a positive place in the world!

someone does that on a highway near where i live too, it's always fun to see what message they will put up next, and i have no idea who does it. it's pretty cool though. i'm so glad you shared that.

one of the great blessings of moving in the ministry is that you have wonderful friends all over!! We still vacation with many of our friends from previous churches...I love that!

Those signs are great - kind of offsets the "liberalism" that you are facing full-on at your kids' school - ugh!!!

What a cool sign -- and well designed, too.

Sweet. Wish we had some signs like that...
Honk if you love Jesus.
That's what I'd want in front of my house.
I fixed my WYAW, thanks for the update. Geez I feel like a dope. Hello the border is RED not black anymore. My attention to detail has left blog land and landed in SUMMERTIME! Now I'm on high alert for wasp and bees nests. My Daughter is sent screaming when she sees them. Do you know how much time I've spent watching for the black and yellows...I'm about color blind.
