To my readers who live here in Texas, tell me something...
Is this normal to find in your hotel room:
I guess they are right that things are bigger in Texas!

run...run now!!! jeepers, that's HUGE! i once found a scorpion (sp?) in our shower when i lived in Mexico for a bit! good thing we kept some "super-duper bug killing spray around"! i might recommend you get yourself some of that!!!
Oh, does this bring back memories! When I lived in Dallas (in what was quite possibly the worst apartment in the city), these suckers would drop out of the cabinets and into our sink every single day. It didn't matter how much we sprayed and scrubbed and cleaned. Nightmare!
sorry you had to see this so soon into your trip. it's a good sign, one of Satan's attacks to make you think badly of Texas..hehe. now that you know the truth, know that BIG blessings are ahead for you guys here.
well you might as well get it over with early...yes, those are what we called sewer roaches and they are just a part of TX. I won't tell you any stories now (I have plenty) but just know you will get to know your bug man very well!! :) We also have them in AR....I mistakening thought they only resided in TX!
WHAT.IS.THAT?!?!?!?!? Is that a roach? I've never seen such a grotesque thing in my life...well, other then headless/half eaten bunnies. THat it just nasty! Are you sure you don't want to come north? I mean, sure we have mosquitos that'll eat you alive if your out after dark without bug spray, but we ain't got NOTHING that big and nasty. Come on come North we can have a snowball fight! Hahaha.

that looks just like the ones we have here. They are a bit slower than the little ones.
See, I told you it was no "big" deal :)

Ack, two things I don't miss about home, the heat and those things!!!

(PS around here we call them waterbugs.)
Oh no... get ready to stomp a lot :)
Wear your flip flops at all times!
