Doggone it.

Man girls, it has been a poopie day.

A very poopie day.

I tell ya what. When you know you are following God's will for your life Satan does.not.like.it. and he has tried his darndest lately to destroy us. So please pray for my family and I in the upcoming weeks. Some days the moving day could not come quick enough and some days it just aches.

Today was also a bittersweet day that I spent with my siblings. I received an awful phone call from my bro last night. His little companion and a doggie we all love dearly was hit by a car and died.

Tell me people, how do you explain these types of life situations to kids? My poor boys just bawled and bawled and well, yeah..so did their mommy!

I know we might be the type of people who make our pets like a member of our family. Well they just are. And yes, it's all a part of life. But when it's your brother and you know he's lonely and sad...well what else can ya say. It bugs me to know he's going home alone tonight missing his little friend. He took that doggie everywhere with him!

I'm so sorry little brother...

Oh, I am so sorry! You are right, when you are in the middle of God's will, you are a target for Satan. I will be praying for you. I also want to leave you with one of my favorite encouraging verses:

"Thanks be to god who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in EVERY place." 2 Cor 2:14

Blessings!

oh no! I can't even imagine. Even though I really dislike all the dog hair in my house, I don't know what we would do without our faithful companion. Praying for your brother!

Sorry about the loss. You know pets are special, but you just don't know HOW SPECIAL until they are gone. I'll be praying for your bro & your family.

Sometimes I think it's harder to loose your pet/friend/baby then to loose an actual Human. We can think and say we'll see them in heaven, but do animals go there? Do they have souls?
I am one that believes YES, they do have souls and right now Sadie, Phoebe and Louis are in my "home" marking their territory, if you know what I mean. HA.
I'm so sad for your brother, That little guy is a cute one.
Hopefully his heart will soon be filled with a new buddy, and NOT that another pet can fill that place...but it can make a new one place.
I've watched Rob and his parents both go through the loss of their pets in recent years. It's SO hard. (I lost mine as a kid so I've yet to encounter it as an adult.) Hard to know WHEN to say goodbye, and even harder when you aren't even given the chance.
You got my prayers sister.

I'm so sorry you've had a rough day. And I can see why that puppy made it everywhere with him. Our dog takes off fast when he has a chance to sneak outside and try not to think about what could happen......

Hoping life gets better!

Friend, I'm so sorry about your week and your nephew-doggy passing. I am not a huge animal lover but you wouldn't have known it last night when we watched "Marley and Me". I bawled like a baby. Made me miss our yellow lab we put down a few years ago. So very sad. So please know you have been prayed for today.

...and I didn't know you are moving?!? WHere? When? Who? (Yes, I'm as clueless as they come.)

oh, that is so sad! i'm sorry for your brother's loss. loosing a pet is so difficult. we had to put our black lab to rest when i was in high school and it was horrible. i can only imagine how everyone feels with it being such a sudden loss.

i'm so sorry, friend!
cheer up, buttercup!

My dear friend, I read your email this morning and my mouth dropped open. satan will use anyone and anything to try to snare us in a trap. Praying. Praying. Praying.

As far as talking to your kiddos, well there's no easy way. It's life and it stinks. When we had to put Rocky down, J was in 7th grade and he bawled like a baby. The best thing we did was get a new dog asap. That's what I'd tell your bro to do too.

Hey, this time tomorrow, we'll be together!!! (happy dance)

I'll keep praying for you and your family as your moving day will soon be here!

Animals are wonderful. The other members of my family could do without a pet, but I wouldn't know what to do without our dog. He's 10 though, and starting to have problems, so I know the day is coming! Hope your brother is adjusting and doing good today.

Ugh! That nasty anxiety thing has reared it's angry head in my life at times. So sorry about your brother's dog...is he the same brother that now has your cat?

God has shown Himself faithful MANY times before, and you will be amazed yet again by how He works out EVERY detail. He's holding you, friend.
