1. What is your favorite comfort food when you are sick?2. In your extended family (grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins), who is your favorite and why?
3. What is your favorite day of the year?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. We used to get ginger ale when we were growing up. It was the only time we ever drank it. But today, my favorite comfort is a cold glass of Sprite/7up and saltine crackers!
2. My Aunt Barb. I plan on doing a post about her someday. She is my mom's sister and she is an incredible woman I look up to and admire! I can call her up at any moment and always get a good laugh. Best of all, when I hang up...it's like I just had a chat with my mom again.
3. Independence Day. I get mooshy around July 4th when I reflect on our freedom. Add in the warm weather, scrumptious food, thoughts towards our soldiers and then the freedom I have in Christ...it's a very special day to me.

1. Chicken noodle soup with some toasted French bread.
2. My aunt. She is my current "pastor's wife" (my uncle is my pastor) and she is one of the few people in my life about whom I can say they truly walk the walk of their faith. I have learned so much from her in the short time we've been in NOLA. If I am half the pastor's wife that she is, I'll be doing good.
3. Christmas. I'm off work and I'm usually with family and stuffed to the gills with really good food. Not to mention it's the celebration of Jesus' birthday! :)
chicken noodle soup and crackers AND sprite...
my grandmother before she passed away, she was a spiritual woman who loved, really LOVED. i learned to love God from her, and to love people. she didnt care to have alot, and what she had she gave away. we always used to say that no matter if we became rockstars, she would support us, haha.
my favorite day of the year is most likely the first day of 'summer' vacation because i know that i have a few months to do some fun stuff and sleep in, it's a day of relief for me.
1) We always had tomato soup when we were sick. I still have it when I am getting over the flu.
2) I have so many relatives it's hard to pick. My Dad has 10 siblings, my Mom - 9! I love to talk to my Aunt Esther though. She is just a year younger than my Dad and is hilarious. She loves to tell stories about their childhood and the mischief they got into.
3) I would say Thanksgiving. I was born on Thanksgiving so sometimes it ends up being a "double" holiday, but I like the family time and the thankful atmosphere of it.
1. okay this will sound weird, but when I am sick I crave banana milk shakes!! I also like mashed potatoes.
2. My aunt who I recently lost....I miss her so much! She led me to Christ and was my spiritual mentor and prayer warrior.
3. Christmas!!!
1. Toast with a little bit of jam
2. My huge relation is extremely close, so it's hard to pick. If I HAD to - for blogging purposes ;-) - I would have to say my Papa Del, my Dad's dad. He is SO full of life and spunk and energy and love for the Lord. My grandma has Alzheimer's and he has shown time and time again what "in sickness and in health" really means. Oh, how I love him.
3. Christmas!!!!!
We always have 7 up when we're sick and I still do to this day.
2. Mari's right- it would be Aunt Esther- she has this twinkle in her eye and is always so much fun!
3. Christmas- no doubt about it!!
1. Cream tacos (recipe is part of my WYAW). Yum!!!
2. Eek!! I'm almost afraid to answer, haha! But it would probably be my mom's sister, who I'm named after. She is such a Godly woman and so strong -- such an amazing person, and I'm so thankful we're close.
3. CHRISTMAS!!! Because I get to see all my family!
btw Linda, you don't have Mr. Linky up!! My WYAW is up!!
1. Gotta go with chicken noodle soup.
2. That's hard but probably my brother-in-law. He's hilarious, laughs at himself and is always in a good mood.
3. The last day of school!
1. Saltines is one of my favorites too, when I'm sick.
2. Get this - I don't have extended family! My parents are both only children so that means there are no direct aunts or uncles or cousins. I have one 2nd or 3rd cousin (his mom is my dad's cousin) that I like, but rarely get to see. I have one living grandparent (GrandMOTHER) that I do not particularly admire. I guess, looking back, I wish I'd gotten to know my Dad's dad better.....
3. Tough one! I'm such an "anticipation" person, so it's almost the day before big holidays! I'm really like 4th of July a lot more as I get older, but I'd still have to say Christmas.
Fun questions, Linda - and get to feeling better soon!
1. Ice cream! I love pineapple or another fruity ice cream when my tummy hurts.
2. My grandma is my favorite. She grew up when things were much simpler, and she hasn't forgotten what's important in life. She's never used a computer, but she is the most well-connected member of our family.
3. I love my birthday! I love everything about it, especially the presents and spending time with those I love. Gifts and quality time are totally my love languages, and I'm not afraid to say it:)
1) Buttered toast and Chicken noodle soup from Bob's Market.
2)I'm going to say Rob's Gma Ruth who died shortly after we had Nina. She is the ROCK of the Cox family and she ALWAYS treated me with love and kindness, even when his parents were still uncertain about us marrying so quickly. IT's like she saw right through me and saw the goodness and her unconditional love brought it out for the rest to see, the more I'm loved unconditionally the brighter my light and love seems to get. Her FAITH was astounding. I want to be like her. (I'm sorry if I cheated...I'm not close to ANY of my family.)
3)I'm going to have to AGREE with you July 4th! IT has so many different feelings for me. The year I did my most growing 19 I was in Boston and the way they celebrate is like NO other! In my whole life I'll never forget THAT 4th. Rob's cousin Laurie lives on a lake and have a huge party, the nieghbors have contests to see who has the best fireworks display, then at 10PM the city does theirs on the lake...AMAZING. Plus it's friends, family and as much fun as you can have. I also love matching our outfits. (Lame, I know) But it's fun when us Cox family show up in our matching red/white&blue...now it's gotten to the point where THAT is a contest too! Love it. Plus it's SUMMER!!!!!
1. Chicken noodle soup, toast, and coke...yep a coke!
2. My Granddaddy...my hero in Faith. He is hanging out with Jesus right now and I can't wait to hang out too!
3. Thanksgiving day!
How are you feeling?? Hope you are doing well. Love and prayers!
1. with a cold, chicken noodle soup and coke. when i have a tummy bug i like to just suck on candy and try to eat a cracker or two & ice chips
2. my favs change every so often and it really depends on my mood! haha
cousin angie, aunt sherri, both grandmas
3.Christmas.
1. Well, I, too got Sprite and Saltine crackers when I was sick...I think that is why I HATE them now! ☺ I am probably most comforted by hot soup and a COLD Diet Coke!
2. My favorite...sounds so mean, but I guess it would be my grandmother on my mom's side. She always has fresh bread and cookies and canned veggies and still makes me grape jelly every year!
3. Probably changes with the season. Right now...the 1st day of summer!
1. Well, I would have to say sprite probably. Or potatoes, depending on how sick I am feeling. Potatoes are never bad. :)
2. Wow - tough one. I'm going to go with my Uncle Martin, my mom's younger brother, because he is a riot and witty and cracks us up.
3. Thanksgiving, I think. Because of family and favorite food and warm thankful feelings. Love it.
1. tea and I need my mommy too.
2. My cousin's wife cracks me up, encourages me, and challenges me.
3. I love Christmas.
ok, I didn't know we could do people that have passed away. I miss my Gramma on my dad's side- she died 10 years ago, and I can't wait to see her again!
Toast.
My uncle Lee. He's been the male influence in my life and always so steady, dependable, reliable and loving.
My birthday. Because I am selfish like that. 26 daaays!!!
