Getting away!

The guys and I took off for the coast the past few days.

Sometimes you don't know how BADLY you need to get out of town, until you do. It was a wonderful trip and a sweet time with my family. As much fun as I had, editing the photos is like doing it all over again. Here's a glimpse of our get-a-way:

How many pictures do you have of "mom" in your family photos? I'm trying to be better at that, even if it's self posed like this! See kids, mommy was there!

Here is the biggest motivation we had for going to the coast. This past week was *Whale Watching Week*. A chance to see the whales migrating. This sticker is about the extent of how much we saw of any whale!

The laundry's piled high, there's sand pouring out all over the place, the boys are camped out in front of the TV, the dogs are exhausted and my heart couldn't be more full! I love times like this.

This video does not do it justice, but if you've ever met *Henry*....you'd understand! He has this thing about digging in the sand. When it flies back and hits him in the behind he whips around like "WHAT WAS THAT?" It is hilarious and he does it over and over again!

I love seeing your pictures. We don't have very many of me either. I hate to see myself in pictures and I'm the one with the camera!

I laughed out loud at your dog. I needed that on this gloomy, snowy day!

I also need a vacation to the beach. Too bad I live very, very far away from one. But the good news is we'll be in Cancun in June. I'm ready to go now!

There are never any pictures of me either unless I take it myself, and then it's never a good one. I love that pictures of you, with your cute curly hair!

I couldn't agree with you more about not knowing how much you need to get away. It makes the times that much more special when you do get away and enjoy special times together as a family.
Great pictures

I could almost smell the sea air!!!
Your Henry cracks me up! We should try an check them more on video. Then again it'd probebly be only you and I laughing because we both know what it's like living with "special" dogs!
What a wonderful trip you guys must have had.
Sorry you didn't see any whales. That would have been cool.
