Read a book.

Poopsie (who btw I would still like to know why she calls herself that?) tagged me in a book meme.

1. Link to the person who tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
2. Share seven random and/or weird book facts about yourself.
3. Tag seven random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.
4. Let each person know that they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Seven Random things about Books:
They are made of paper.
They have words.
Sometimes they have pictures.
They are written by people.
They can be funny, sad, happy or bad.
They make a good door stop.
There are a lot of them at the library.

For real, here are some random thoughts I have on books:

*I confess I have not been much of a reader in the past. Magazines yes, books, no. Once my boys began learning to read, my love for a good book was renewed.

*A few have made life-changing effects on my heart! Take the BIBLE for example!

*I love biographies and memoirs. Maybe it is a secret ambition to write my own someday. Who knows? And goodness knows what my biography would be about. But being nosey and hearing about other people's lives is entertaining to me.

*My latest favorite children's book is Snuffle Bunny!

*If it is a really good book that I can't seem to put down, I will digest it in a day or two. Otherwise it takes me about a week to get through a book.

* I've read enough "self-help" books that I could be a counselor myself! I'm burnt out on them. And have come to understand that there will always be issues in life. Sometimes you just need to lay them down before the Lord and as my husband would say "lop it off".

*Agatha Christie has always been a favorite author of mine. I love mysteries but it seems like the older ones like hers are the original, great slueth discovering, classics.

Thanks poopsie for the tag. And here's mine:
Beverly, Michelle, Leslie, Kelly, Renee, Beeee & Laura.

If you don't have time, it won't hurt my feelers. And if anyone else wants to join it...go for it!

P.S. I have a post I've had on my heart for quite awhile that I'm putting up on Friday. So please stop by and give me your feedback!

I am a huge reader...when school is not going on, I don't have time otherwise. I LOVE Agathan Christie, she was probably my first taste of mystery and she got me hooked!

I am such a reader, and I'm like you; if I find a good book, I'm done with it in a couple of days. I recently read Carolyn Jessop's biography -- she's the former wife of an FLDS church leader (who happened to be on the news after that big raid in Texas). And my sweet hubby bought me Jon and Kate Gosselin's book (from Jon and Kate Plus 8), so I'm really looking forward to reading that over the break. =D

Hardy-har har...books are made of paper...Silly.
I'm going to check out Snuffle Bunny.
The only memoirs/or biographies I've read were on Princess Diana...Now her life, woh! I would like to read that Andrew Morton one on Tom Cruise too, I used to LOVE him (Top Gun) then the whole couch jumping and marrying someone like 20 years younger...I'm just curious AND the whole sceincetology...WHAT is that? Curious. So tell me, whos Bio that you've read would I enjoy? I'd join your book club, I may even try an Agatha Christie...I do like mysteries.

Rachel's gonna steal my caramels, lol!!! ;)

Hubby and I wrote a fantasy fiction novel (because we're dorks like that, lol) during the summer and fall, and we're looking for an agent to pitch it to a publisher. That would be soooo good if it would work out.

Oh no, is there cutting and pasting involved in this? I'm still trying to find time to put the pics of the new room up too.

Thank you for sharing, Linda! I love to find out what others think about books. I have attempted to read Agatha Christie. But, I was like 14 so maybe I should try again. I love a good mystery.
Oh, and Jane is right, there is a link on my side bar about my name. It is under my profile picture.
