Mondays after a long weekend are always such a sad time for me. I absolutely love having all my guys home with me. And it is pretty depressing to see them all leave for a new week on monday mornings. The house seems so much quieter and then I have to pay more attention to my house cleaning. Boo hoo.

Well, so, what in the world do I blog about now that the turkey is thawed, cooked and eaten? Life will never be the same. In fact, it seems kinda boring now that I don't have any drama around! So when all else fails....ramble!

  • My boys had a massive pillow fight with my hubster last thursday. The kind where every possible pillow is a weapon. This also means that the pillowcases fly off and so no one can identify their old pillow they'd been using. This is tragic for a girl who has a thing about the 4 pillows she uses and the particular spot they are in on the bed. So unfortunately I have the wrong ones. Which has resulted in a kink either in my neck or back and it has really cramped my style (I think I'm so funny don't I?) I have gone way past the recommended dosage of Aleve and the heating pad feels like it is a permanent fixture to my shoulders. What a whiner, I know. And for anyone with real back issues I am probably sounding pitiful. Humor me.

  • My hubster is a master at projects. If you have watched *Jon & Kate plus 8* you will understand when I say I am very simliar to Kate. So much it's scary sometimes. Bossy Bessy here. Anyways, when he sets his mind to a project he really goes for it. My guff is that it takes much longer than my patience allows. So when he put our tree up and decorated it with the lights I took a break and figured he'd be awhile. Unfortunately he decided to put white and red lights on it. Soooo not what this control freak was wanting. We always do just white lights. I knew by the look in his poor, tired eyes that I better keep this big 'ol mouth shut. Hmph..I'll work with it. And at least it wasn't the blue lights laying in the box. Although a patriotic tree does sound pretty! **now I'm feeling all insecure and whacko on a pmsin' monday. I do not boss my husband around that much. Well at least I hope I don't and don't think I do? Oh brother. I love "Kate" but she does need a chill pill now and then. And now I'm wondering if I need one at this moment too. Just don't think I'm mean to my husband okay people?!!

  • I received my "Pay it forward" gift from Tiffany. It is THE most wonderful book evah! I am in love with it. Just my kinda fun. I can't believe Tiffany and I have never met and she sent me such a perfect book! And if you are looking for a gift to give anyone this year...I think this is a winner!:

I talked with my dad last week. He is scheduled for a cat scan on the 17th and we will know the results on the 23rd. I'm praying for a good "present". And I appreciate your prayers too.

Hope your Monday is kind.

And if not, crank up the Christmas music louder. It helps!

I can be a control freak too so I know how hard it was for you to keep you mouth shut about the lights. I'm proud of you for doing it! That book looks pretty cute. Have a great Monday!

Happy Monday! Hope you have a great day despite coming down from your long weekend high. I can definitely relate, just got back from a week at Disney last night and the mountain of laundry, school, and Christmas to do's are quite overwhelming right now...and so...I blog!

I am definitely NOT a control freak but I am married to one and so, for your sweet hubby who I know did his best...THANK YOU for holding your tongue, I know it was hard but probably more appreciated than you will ever know!

praying for you dad. Hope he gets a good report.

Ya know, I have not seen that show. Everyone talks about it. I need to see if I can get it on Netflix.

Lovin' your new look! The blue color is beautifuL!

I HAVE to have my pillow too! A couple times our pillows got moved around and I woke up the next morning all outta wack. I ended up writing my name on my pillow and make sure I have it every night. David laughs at me 'cause I check my pillow for my name before I can go to sleep!

I am so like Kate too! Jon is so sweet that he puts up with her. Wait, If I'm like her that means Rob "puts up" with me? NO that can't be right He LOVES me, warts and all. Seriously? He really does "put up" with me. *huhmp* I'm gonna sit here and think about this way to long now!
I'll be praying for your Dad. Pray for me today too.
I don't like mondays after long weekends either, I could have snuggle in bed for 2 more hours, I had to rush Butter out, she was a snoozer today.

Well, I already spilt coffee on my white shirt this morning, BUT it is a good Monday. =D I got up early, exercised, and managed not to spill my entire cup of coffee. ;)

I'm doing my Pay-it-forward tomorrow. (I was supposed to do it today, but you know, Dare to Wear).

Sorry your back is hurting! :(

BTW your Wizard of Oz comment was HILARIOUS!

I have to have the big firm pillows so I wear them out and then pass them on to the kids....

My bosses are out of town all week (in Florida swimming with the dolphins) so this has been a great Monday! I'm on the work-for-an-hour, surf-for-30-minutes plan today with Air 1 radio turned up loud.

I'll be praying for your dad to have the peace that surpasses all understanding during his scan. After waltzing in for an MRI on my KNEE last year and internally freaking out about the big machine I was in to my waist, I gained empathy for people who have to do that and a whole lot more. We fixate on the results but a lot of the procedures are unpleasant too. Please remind us on the 16th to be praying for him!

After riding 9 hours last Wed, sleeping on a too-small bed with an icky pillow, and another 9 hours back home my back is aching with yours!

Praying for you daddy.

Aleve is my dear, dear friend...glad you met her too! I'm sure your tree is beautiful and when you look at it you can think of all the hard work and love that went into it!
I'm listening to the song you posted, too! Beautiful!

You're great. I am sure your tree is lovely and that you are not that bossy and lovely as well! Praying for your dad...

OK - you are so NOT like Kate. Were you smokin' crack again?? I like Kate, too, but sometimes consider throwing a brick at the TV to get her to CHILLAX. (That's my new, hip, cool word that I learned from my kids. Feel free to say it. IT's fab. And, it's sure to get an eye-roll from the children.)

Love you, girl!
