It's just so like that bad devil. Hates it when we are happy and trusting God. I'm sure he's loving the news that I just got and hoping I'll fail. Found out this morning that my dad has pancreatic cancer. He battled and won his war with stomach cancer, so this is another bump in the road. Anyways, as much as I wanna melt a bunch on this....I'm gonna go read that post below again and again and know that God IS in fact trustworthy! Please pray for my family. And by all means people, give me some verses of Scripture. I need to plaster them up around my house today!!
Please read the post below...it has been a very good week!
Love,

So sorry to hear this, Linda.
When I'm hurting and need to feel close to Him...I always run to Psalms...
"Lord, when doubt fills my mind, when my heart is in turmoil, quiet me and give me renewed hope and cheer" Psalms 94:19 (The Living Bible)
Praying for you today bloggy friend.
Oh I am so sorry! Will be praying for your dad!
It Is Written: No weapon formed against you shall prosper!
Good on you to say Get Behind Me Satan. Don't give that rat an inch.
Keep your chin up and head bowed my friend.
Blessings,
Whitney
Do you know Nicole C. Mullen's song "Redeemer"?
The very same God that spins things in orbit
runs to the weary, the worn and the weak
And the same gentle hands that hold me when I'm broken
They conquered death to bring me victory
I listen to this song when I need to be reminded that I know that I know that I know my Redeemer is bigger and stronger and LIVING and care for me and for what I care for. I'm praying for you and your dad.
Heavenly Father, I pray for Linda's dad. Give him strengh and endurance to do battle with cancer once again. Place him in healing capable hands of the nurses and doctors that are in charge of his care. It is your will Lord, but I ask for healing on this man. Lord, please fill Linda's heart with your comfort. Give her reminders of your greatness. In you holy and precious name I pray. Amen.
Give me a sign of goodness, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame, for you, O Lord, have helped me and comforted me. Psalm 86:17
Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand againest the devil's schemes.Ephsians 6:11
Please read Ephsians 6:14-18 also.
Well... I'll be your voluntary swearer. I'll say cuss words for you and if I don't know enough, I'll call my brother.
I'm going to make you do the work on your own..
But first - curse the cancer at the root. It can not thrive or grow. It has to go, because of the Name of Jesus..the only name that is greater than the name of cancer.
"My God shall supply ALL my need according to HIS riches and glory in Christ Jesus."
"Be anxious for NOTHING - but in everything give thanks." -- please note - it doesn't say give thanks FOR everything -- just IN everything..
Worship lifts us up above our circumstances and gives us a "Gods Eye View" of things -- tommy Tenney.
So turn the worship up!!
Crazy Praise!!!
love ya lady!
Oh -- and
Linda is the head and not the tail..
above and not beneath.
Linda is blessed in her goings and comings..
Her husband's work is blessed because He is there... All that He does and sets his hands to - are blessed!!
Oh Linda I am sorry, it is just like the devil to kick us when we are up!!!
God is so in control! I just prayed for your dad and I will continue to!
God wants to prosper us to give us a hope and a future and he wants that for you and your whole family!
Bless you today, and keep trusting in Him who is trust worthy!
I'm so sorry Linda- i will be lifting you up in prayer and your Dad. God has us partnered up today, my friend- go back to my blog- i think it was meant for you. I posted just before I came to read the post that you let me know you posted through email WHILE I was posting my last post, without me knowing WHAT you were posting about. Did that make sense? God is so faithful. Hugs and prayers to surround you!
Oh, Linda...I heart you too!!
Girlfriend, you know and sense me kneeling beside you in prayer! Two hands clasped in urgency...One God who is going to touch you...HUGS!!
I look up to the mountains- does my help come from there?
My help comes from the LORD, maker of Heaven and Earth.
He will not let you stumble, the one who watches over you will not slumber. Psalm 121
I'll pray now.
I love the post below and I'm so sorry you had to hear the news you did. I'll be praying for you and your family. One of my favorite verses is Jeremiah 29:11 - I know the plans I have for you - plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Even in this situation know that God loves you so much and He would never so anything to hurt you. He will be right there with you.
"Be anxious for nothing, but in ALL things, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus...somewhere in Phillipians...
Love you girl and I'm sorry that our enemy is the very embodiment of hatred. His M.O. is to hit below the belt, but our God is so much bigger than that!
Wish I could give you a big fat hug and bring you chocolate. :(
UGH! "Philippians". Sorry, I had to fix it.
UGH! "Philippians". Sorry, I had to fix it.
(((((((Linda))))))
That's a hug I wish I could give you right now. I'm so sorry. I *will* be praying for your sweet Dad, for you, for Mary, and your family. Love you. Linda
Wow, that is hard to get that news. Praying for peace during the storms. Love ya!
oh, linda i am so sorry to hear this! your family will be in our prayers!
Yuck! So sorry to hear this news.
"I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, Oh Lord, make me dwell in safety." ---Psalm 4:8
One of my favorites and one I recite often when I am lying in bed and my thoughts won't let me rest. God knows. He gives both peace and safety.
My new sweet bloggy friend...I am so sorry. But our God is good, and He's BIG. Praying for you now...here's a Scripture for you...
"Hear my cry, Oh God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto Thee, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the Rock that is higher than I." Psalm 61:1
May He be your Rock and Fortress and High Tower during this time.
Much love...
I just caught up on all your posts over the past week that I've been away from the 'puter. It looks like it's been a rollercoaster for your emotions - probably not unlike many weeks, right?
I will be praying for you and hoping you remember a little grace for yourself so you can feel all the emotions tied to this diagnosis. You won't "hurt God's feelings" by being human when something like this hurts your heart. So meltdown when you need to and know His capacity to love will cover you through it all.
It's not scripture but I think something Bro. Randy used to say is always helpful to me: "When you can't see the hand of God, trust the heart of God."
