I usually publish my posts to be put on the night before, so when I woke up this morning to see this:
I was quite amused. My husband had read my blog...EARLY...cuz when I got out of bed the washer and dryer were on overdrive. I'm not sure what to think of the gal stuck in the toilet, but I get what he meant!
Dontcha just love it when the Lord puts these sweet life lessons into your day. I had gone to bed the night before with steam comin' out my nostrils and a *woe is me* attitude that stunk so bad I could hardly sleep. You know girls, those times when you tell it all to yourself:
I never get any help around the house.
And these people would miss me if I was gone. Or at least they'd miss clean underwear!
And that I am tempted to never lift a finger again just to prove to them how valuable I am.
Hmph. I had it out with God. I was tired, I was pms, and I was on a pity party big time. So He gently quieted me enough to go to sleep without opening my mouth too wide to get me into trouble. Then I wake up to this! Dang I hate it when good overcomes evil...only in times like this!
I am tempted now to go around this house with my camera and write more posts on how the "maid" hasn't helped me.
See cuz, it got some attention.
And I'm a terrible housecleaner.
And if I did that? Post more embarrassingly dirty house pictures on the net. It might not be as effective and sincerely make me look worse than I am as a homemaker!
So, today I'm off with a smile and a thankful heart that God stopped me before I blew it again! I came across this post the other day. I hope she doesn't mind me revertin' you over there since I am new myself. But it was one of those posts I have read that takes that mirror and points it back. Being the temperature of our home? Scary and wonderful all at the same time!
Oh and one last thing. This is for you Beverly!:

Three cheers for your hubby! Both for giving the maid a break and for having a sense of humor about it. Love it!
What is the number to that TV show Wife (husband) SWAP?
What a guy! You are a blessed woman...
I am laughing out loud at this post!
WTG Curtis! You da man!!
Too fun. ;-D
You guys are great!
Yay, I wonder if that will work for me... Good job on being obedient and keeping your mouth shut when you wanted to speak your mind! Been there!
My eyes, my eyes!! Whispered a prayer: please don't let those be the big guy's!!!
I am SO showing this to Richard. I'm counting on him to not be "shown up" by Bro. C! (remember the read-a-thon run?)
I agree with your sister: leave the laundry, love on the boys. Phyllis Diller said "Trying to clean house when your kids are little is like trying to shovel snow in a snow storm." (or something like that. and maybe it wasn't even PD that said it!!)That's my kind of thinkin'.
BIG, BIG points for your hubby! I don't think my laundry baskets have been completely empty in at least a couple of years. How bad is that? I used to do it all at once, but somewhere along the way I realized it was futile...love that quote in the comment above. So true. Thanks for checking up on me last week. I'm doing better.
Good for you! I am going to tell HD all about it and I am sure he will think that is very nice for you...
Have a wonderful day!!
