I'm Thankful for My Bro

I am one of the lucky girls in this world who has a brother. Life is not near as fun I'm sure without one of these guys in your life! As much as the male gender still remains a mystery to this day, he sure introduced me into how much fun it was going to be to have 2 of these boys myself someday!

The picture above is probably my most favorite photo of him. And it's classic how he used to sinch his belt super tight, his t-shirt tucked in his undies and his pockets both pulled up and out.

He made up into the prettiest "girl" when we added dress up clothes and make up. Much to my father's nightmare. Especially when pantyhose were involved!

He once put our cat in the freezer. Who knows why? My parents found out because the cat left nuggets behind.

He loved to pick on and tease me. And the kid is younger than me. Why I let him get to me I don't know, but he surely kept life interesting growing up.

He is a daggone hard-worker. I'm so proud of his accomplishments and endurance.

He is a hoot. My brother can make me laugh at anything. Our family sure knows how to laugh! And when he's around, we might as well wear Depends!

He is the coolest kind of uncle. My boys go into attack mode whenever Uncle Brent is around. And he aggs it on just as much.

He's come thru a lot in his "young" life. I am mostly proud of his relationship with God. He grew up knowing all the right answers like I did as a kid and truly made this journey with God his very own. He knows what he believes and best of all, he understands grace.

Having a brother is a pretty great gift from God. There is no other relationship in life like it. And no matter how far apart or close we are in these seasons of our lives...I will always love my little brother!

Happy Birfday Brent!

I was not blessed with a brother so I did not get to experience the brotherly joy growing up. Boy were little boys a surprise! They are loud, and wiggly, and gross! I would have loved to have a brother to prepare me! Have a great day celbrating with him!

I'm jealous! Am I allowed to be? I always wanted a brother. I agree having one would have prepared me for the 2 boys I have now. We were an all girl extended family until my boys came along. Wow! I love that my little girl has 2 big brothers to help, protect, attack ya know all the "brother-sister" stuff! Have a great time celebrating him today!

Such a sweet post. I especially love the (I'm guessing early 90's) picture of the two of you.

I always wanted an older brother. I figured out pretty early in life that I wasn't going to get one. ;o)

He sounds like a great guy! My brother is 11 years older them me (I come from a family of 10), so we don't have a very close relationship! Love your blog, thanks for stopping by mine! BTW my dog has to sit at my feet, where I usually end up stepping on him because I don't know he is there! He keeps us laughing!!!!

Note to self, don't watch a slide show of brother while drinking coffee, it hurts when you blow it out your nose due to uncontrollable laughter.
