5 things I've learned.

**Bloggy friends are the sweetest friends! Thank you sisters for your lovin', encouragement and Scripture yesterday. I am overwhelmed at the gift of God's grace, peace and hope in my life.**

The other day One More Equals Four tagged me for a meme and I've enjoyed mulling over it and really thinking about this hobby of mine: Blogging.

Five things that I have learned from blogging

1. I've learned how blogging can rattle my self-esteem. Have you ever pushed *publish* on your post and then felt that ball of insecurity drop like a weight in your tummy? What did I just write, what will people think, what if they take that wrong, what if they think I am legally insane, what if I offended someone, what if they DON'T think that is funny.

And to make matters worse...there's a little thing called bloglines, feeders, etc. that basically make it impossible to ever completely delete a post I may not like. I've learned from this lesson to lop it off (my hubster's favorite term). Lop it off means let it go. You can't change it. Forgive yourself if you have to and go on. It has helped me get outside my comfy zone and be okay with who I am!

2. I LOVE actually looking at people's blogs. I don't do the blogline thing anymore. I have a list and I run down thru them each day. So whether you have written a post or not, I see your sweet face and never miss a picture if you've posted a cute one of yourself on your sidebar!

3. Laughter truly is the best medicine. I can't believe how much fun it is to laugh. And it's all by myself when I'm on here. Life is complicated, life is complex, life can really be a mess. Laughing makes it disappear if for but a moment. I sincerely LOVE TO LAUGH! And if that means making fun of myself....well join the party!

4. You know I'm gonna say "meeting you" don'tcha? I have friends in real life, I really do. And I love spending time with them. There is something different about you friends online. I chat with you most every day and there is always something new to learn about you! I struggle even beginning to describe the change many of you have made in my sweet little life. I heart you people!! I really do.

5. I've learned lastly, balance. For crying out loud, I can spend an entire day online if I didn't watch it! I hate to admit that many times I haven't had a shower til the afternoon cuz I've been fartin' around reading blogs and daydreaming. I have really been convicted of my computer use. Especially when the boys are home. There have been times when they've come up and talked to me and I hear with one ear and forget it 2 minutes later. Bad mommy. I try to stay completely away from blog reading once my kids come in the door.

So as much as I love this part of my life...my online life. I have a strong conviction to balance all these parts of me in check. I could read blogs til I'm old and totally miss out on my children growing up fast around me. Not to mention my hubster liking some love.

So there ya have it! From the length of any of my meme's, you know I can talk. And go on and on and on and on. So, I'll stop there. I'd love, LOVE, love to hear what you've learned. So consider it a tag and even if you have 2 or 3 reasons, I'd like to know! And for my "official" 5...they are The Cozy Corner , Halfmoon Girl , Thoughts from the cat ,Happy Mommy , His Girl .
**Happy Mommy is already doing this one and tagged me. How's that for funny?! So she asked for 6 and here ya go sweet friend:
6. I can write a long post that I think people will get bored with and not complete. And then they want to know more! How cool is that?!**

Have a great weekend peeps!

You're so right about balance, Linda! In fact, I blogged yesterday about the fact that it can be frustrating, because there are so many incredible blogs, so little time!

Have a blessed weekend...

Great answers and ideas, Linda - I'm going to have to mull over my response (and try to have your answers fade in my mind so I don't copy them) and post this afternoon. In the meantime, I need to get off the computer soon (i.e. answer #5)- so I can take my kiddos out to breakfast at our favorite pancake house for their day off!

Oh man....yes, yes, yes to #1. I cannot believe how precisely you have described what goes on in my head every single time I hit publish. I've been meaning to do a post on it, but just couldn't bring myself to write about it because...well, what if no one else felt like that and thought I was WEIRD? Ha!

I liked the farting around comment too. I know exactly what you mean. Great list. I am having a busy day today, so will probably do mine tomorrow. Just wanted to check in with you and see how you were doing. Hope you got some rest last night. I was driving along when one of my fave songs came on the radio- Shackles. As I was boogying in my seat, I was thinking, oh, Linda would probably like this one today!
